Huskies gain another soccer commitment
The WOLBI Men's Soccer coaching staff is pleased to announce the commitment of Cyleek Zaimoff.
Cyleek is an elite attacking player hailing from Scotland, Connecticut. During his high school career, Cyleek played for the Killingly Kix club team and the Parish Hill High School men's soccer team. While at Parish Hill, he amassed 84 goals and 23 assists.
Following high school, Cyleek attended the Richmond International Academic and Soccer Academy (RIASA) in Leeds, UK. His stint at RIASA included games against Real Sociedad's U19 team and Fleetwood Town F.C., as well as various other academies from around the UK. Cyleek scored 7 goals in competitive matches while at RIASA.
Cyleek had this to say about his commitment: "I am excited to play at WOLBI because of the way soccer is utilized to be a witness to their opponents. The atmosphere of a competitive environment on top of glorifying the Lord through it seems like the best way to experience the passion for soccer that I have. And I am very excited to grow in my relationship with God and to meet all the staff and players!"
Head Coach, Justin Lough, offered his thoughts: "Cyleek is a player that we feel will bring us to the next level as we look to build on previous campaigns. He is a dynamic goal scorer with incredible foot skills, dynamic passing vision, great physical attributes, and a tremendous work ethic. He can be played virtually anywhere across the front line and present an imposing challenge to any opposing defender. He has played at a tremendously high level of competition in Europe and thrived in that environment. We're excited for him to bring his experience and talent to our squad and anticipate that he will be a key player and leader. Additionally, Cyleek's passion for the Lord, his desire to grow spiritually, his maturity, and his desire to use soccer as a tool to share the Gospel make him an absolutely perfect fit. As a coaching staff, we could not be more pleased with his commitment to WOLBI Men's Soccer."
