2026 YSCC Cornhole Tournament
Pottersville, NY – April 25, 2026 – The Word of Life Bible Institute welcomed Paul Smith's College to campus on Saturday morning for the inaugural YSCC Cornhole Tournament, marking an exciting new addition to intercollegiate competition between the two schools. A total of 24 students competed in the event, which began with round-robin pool play before advancing into a double-elimination bracket to determine the tournament champion.
Word of Life was well represented throughout the competition, showcasing both skill and depth across multiple teams. Tyler Parin and Caleb Shultz led the way for the Huskies, advancing all the way to the championship match and finishing as tournament runners-up after a strong day of play. Kyler Groff and Dominick Baker also made an impressive run, reaching the semifinal round, while Corban Howard and Nate Penfield secured spots in the knockout stage.
Additional Huskies teams competing included Kyler Bagley and Eric Hay, Hunter Hanna and Sam Morozov, Daniel Rafferty and Jessamyn Bahr, and Rachel Hay and Bryce Lake, all of whom contributed to a competitive showing for Word of Life across the tournament field.
The event featured a high-energy and engaging atmosphere, with players and spectators alike enjoying the mix of competition and community. As the first YSCC Cornhole Tournament, the event set a strong foundation for what could become a staple competition in the future.
