Huskies Win Thriller against NHTI
Concord, NH – Word of Life closed out the fall semester with a gut-check road win, as the Huskies edged NHTI 67–65 in a tight battle on Saturday afternoon in Concord, New Hampshire. The victory moves the Huskies to 5–9 overall and 2–6 in YSCC play, and gives the group valuable momentum heading into the break.
Huskies finish strong
After trailing 36–33 at the half, Word of Life responded with a composed second-half effort, outscoring NHTI 34–29 to steal the win on the road. The Huskies' offense clicked efficiently, shooting 51.9 percent from the field and knocking down nine threes to power the comeback.
Balanced scoring attack
Guard Andrew Spencley led the way with a team-high 17 points on an efficient 7-of-11 shooting night, including three makes from beyond the arc. Fellow guard Xander Eason stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points and a team-leading seven rebounds, giving the Huskies a steady presence on both ends.
Spark from the bench
The Word of Life bench delivered a huge lift, highlighted by a breakout performance from Miles Shine, who poured in 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting while adding five rebounds and four assists. The reserves combined for 28 points, with key contributions from Harry Keegan on the glass and Ross Wilkins stretching the floor with a three-pointer and five boards.
Winning the tough plays
Word of Life finished with 11 assists on 27 made field goals and turned the ball over just eight times, showing poise in a one-possession game. The Huskies also came up with timely defensive stops in the final minutes, overcoming NHTI's 36–32 edge on the glass and holding the hosts to under 40 percent shooting from the floor.

The Huskies now turn their attention to the second half of the 2025–26 campaign, aiming to build on Saturday's resilient road win. Their next game will be Saturday, January 10th, at Vaughn College.
