Men's Soccer Season Recap
The Huskies Men's Soccer Season came to a close on November 2nd in the YSCC Semi-Final game against Paul Smith's College 3-2. The Huskies finished the season 7-6-3 (6-3) and even hosted and won their first-round playoff game on October 26th.
The Huskies set many school records in 2024. Most impressively was Sophomore Joe Mathews shattering his record of 24 from a year ago by scoring 29 this season! He now also holds the career record at Word of Life, scoring 53 goals as a Husky. This also led the team to score a program-record 51 goals as a team this season.
Joe Mathews and Cyleek Zaimoff were named to the YSCC All-Conference Team, Raphael Cournoyer was named YSCC Goalkeeper of the Year, and Head Coach Justin Lough won Head Coach of the Year in the YSCC. If you included the last 3 years in the HVIAC that would make it 4 years in a row that the Men's Soccer coaching staff has won the award.
The Huskies would like to thank you for your support during the 2024 season and look forward to your support again in 2025!
