Late Heart Break leads to Tie

The Huskies struck first in the 36th minute when George Rohrbaugh found the back of the net off an assist from Santiago Miranda, giving Word of Life a 1–0 advantage heading into halftime. Rohrbaugh was active all night, recording a team-high six shots, three of them on target.
Paul Smith's applied heavy pressure in the second half, and despite strong defensive work and several key saves from goalkeeper Raphael Cournoyer (4 saves), the Bobcats found the equalizer in the 89th minute. Nathan Wiley capitalized on a late chance, finishing a pass from Hyler Isham to tie the game at 1–1.
Word of Life generated 16 shots compared to Paul Smith's six, but the Huskies couldn't convert on multiple late opportunities, including four corner kicks in the second half. The match grew physical, with both teams combining for seven yellow cards—five of them assessed to Word of Life.
With the result, Word of Life moves to 0-3-4 overall (0-3-2 YSCC), while Paul Smith's stands at 4-8-1 (2-2-1 YSCC).
The Huskies return to action this weekend as they continue conference play, looking for their first win of the season. They host NHTI on Saturday at 3:00 pm and Maine-Augusta on Sunday at 12:00 pm.
