The Word of Life Bible Institute Huskies wrapped up their Bible College WNIT play in the National Championship Game against 1 Seed Trinity College of Florida Tigers. The Huskies and Tigers went back and forth in the beginning, but the Tigers towards the end of the first quarter started to pull ahead, getting their lead as high as 14 points in the second quarter, but the Huskies scored a couple of quick layups before the halftime break brought the lead down to 32-22.
The second half started off great for the Tigers as they were able to stretch the lead out to 16 points, and a late surge in the fourth quarter for the Huskies cut the lead down to 7. The Huskies were too little too late as the Tigers roared their way to a 52-42 victory over the Huskies to win the 2023 Bible College WNIT National Championship.
The Huskies' next game is against Berkeley College in the 2023 HVIAC Tournament Semi-Final at Five Towns College on Saturday, February 25 (Time to be Announced, please check the Huskies Website and Schedule for updates).
