Huskies Dominate leads to First Win of Season
Pottersville, NY – November 5, 2025 – Word of Life Huskies secured a commanding victory over Great Bay C.C., 71-34, at the Huskies Health & Athletic Center on November 7, 2025, with balanced scoring, dominating rebounding, and strong defense defining the outcome.
Offensive Standouts
Word of Life's attack was led by Ellie Rishel, who scored a game-high 22 points on efficient 10-of-15 shooting and grabbed an impressive 18 rebounds. Stephanie Augusta contributed 21 points, including three three-pointers, while Autumn Bone added 17 points, 8 rebounds, and a team-high 6 assists. The Huskies shot 34.1% from the field, moving the ball well and generating 21 assists across the roster. They also knocked down 8 threes and hit 83.3% at the charity stripe.
Word of Life completely controlled the glass, outrebounding Great Bay 63-33, led by Rishel and Bone's efforts. Augusta, Bone, and Jordyn Wilkins were active on both ends, contributing to 20 team steals that regularly turned defense into offense. The defense forced Great Bay into 26 turnovers and only allowed the opposition to convert 20% of their field goals and 15.4% from deep.
