Mustangs Outrun the Huskies

Pottersville, NY – January 13, 2026 – Word of Life fell 102–47 to visiting Central Maine CC on Tuesday night at the Huskies Health & Athletic Center, as a hot-shooting Mustangs squad pulled away early and never looked back.

Game overview

• Central Maine seized control with a 24–9 first quarter and extended the margin to 59–15 by halftime, using pressure defense and a barrage of threes to break the game open.
• The Huskies showed resilience out of the locker room, scoring 32 points after the break and posting their best offensive quarter in the fourth with 19 points.

• Ellie Rishel paced Word of Life with a team-high 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field, attacking the paint and adding 5-of-8 at the foul line to go with 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
• Stephanie Augusta delivered a strong inside presence with 8 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, recording a double-double while anchoring the Huskies on the glass.
• Autumn Bone chipped in 7 points and 7 rebounds, repeatedly extending possessions with 5 offensive boards and earning trips to the free-throw line (3-of-4).

• Word of Life battled to a 41–47 deficit on the boards against an active Central Maine frontcourt, pulling down 17 offensive rebounds to stay engaged in the paint.
• Augusta, Rishel, Bone, and Eva Penning combined for 26 of the Huskies' 41 rebounds, with Penning adding 5 boards and a team-best 4 steals in her 23 minutes off the bench.
