Huskies Women's Soccer Season Recap
The Word of Life Women's Soccer season came to a close on Saturday, November 1st, in a 3-0 loss to NHTI during the YSCC Semi-final match at Central Maine Community College. The Huskies finish the 2025 season with a 6-9 record, earning their best finish with victories in program history. Another highlight is the Huskies defeated Paul Smith's for the first time on October 1st with a 2-0 victory, and then defeated them again on October 22nd with a 1-0 2OT Victory in the YSCC Quarter-final game.
The Huskies were led by goalkeeper Ryliegh Gangarossa and by midfielder Ellie Rishel, both of whom would go on to win USCAA All-Honorable Mentions. Rishel would also go on to win YSCC All-Conference Team honors, leading the team with 6 goals. Eva Penning also would contribute 6 goals and 3 assists.
Hannah Gesin and Lea Tokarczyk were also honored with USCAA All-Academic Honors.
