The Word of Life Huskies entered Thursday night looking to continue their momentum against Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. The Word of Life Huskies showed resilience and depth, outlasting Albany College of Pharmacy in a thrilling five-set victory (26–28, 25–15, 25–16, 21–25, 15–8).
After dropping a tight first set, the Huskies rebounded to take control of the next two frames with consistent offensive execution and clutch serving. Albany forced a decisive fifth set, but Word of Life's composure shone through as they pulled away late to seal the win.
The Huskies were led by Samantha Hey, who turned in an outstanding performance with 17 kills on .400 hitting, tying for the team lead in points (18.0). Hanna Fuerst matched that output, also finishing with 18 points on 15 kills, 2 aces, and 22 digs. Setter Isabella Wertz ran the offense with precision, tallying 43 assists and 15 digs.
Savannah Barrs (7 kills, 3 aces, 24 digs) and Madison Jeffreys (12 kills, 14 points) provided key contributions throughout the match, while Olivia Boyd added 6 kills and 21 digs. As a team, Word of Life hit .211 and posted 113 digs, outlasting Albany's offense down the stretch.
